I like the lighting on this poster. I like how the lights appear to shine down on the artist making her look like she is in the spotlight. The black and white colour scheme is very effective and making it stand out against the background image.
The large, bold font grabs the audience's attention, also the text is easy to read. The simple colour's white and green stand out against the black and white image. I would like to try and make my poster as easy to read as this one because it states the information needed in a simple and a quick-to-understand format, which is really good for a poster or advert. Especially for audience which are passing buy quickly and wanting to read the important information. For example, if the poster was on the side of a bus, the people who were awaiting the bus would be able to read it whilst the bus has stopped but if the bus is passing people they will be able to recognize the colour scheme.
I like how Laura Marling isn't looking directly at the camera, it builds suspense as to what she is looking at and what she is focusing on. I also like how the blue background makes her eyes stand out more. This poster looks simple yet effective and grabs the audiences attention. I love the font which states ' Laura Marley' it is very feminine and angelic but the text used to inform the audience of where and when she will be playing is simplistic and easy to read. I would like to use the simple fonts to enable the audience can read the font easy and not struggled whilst trying to read it.
